The Firnew Farm Artists’ Circle is pleased to announce the winners of “A View with a Room” People’s Choice Awards, a Memorial Recognition in honor of late artists Tucker Hill and Diana Fackenthal. Over three hundred twenty-ﬁve attended the opening reception, with more than ﬁve hundred ﬁfty during its run.
John Berry of Madison, Virginia, the show’s featured artist, was selected as the winner of the People’s Choice Award for his 8′ x 16′ large scale photograph, “Four”. Trish Crowe of Hood, Virginia was awarded 2nd place for her watercolor painting “Inside my Heart” and Ida Simmons of Esmont, Virginia was awarded 3rd place for her plein air oil painting “A View with a Room with Milo – MT. IDA Farm: Summer 2017”.

For several years, Firnew artists have participated in the Bath County (VA) Arts Association annual art show. This year’s 54th annual show was no different.

The judges of the 70th Annual Piedmont Art Show in The Plains, VA awarded Trish 1st Place for her watercolor painting “A Styria Interlude”, a scene from Styria, Austria (photo attached) and Sue honorable mention for her oil painting “Gnarled Tree”.

Chee’s Dreamer’s View, watercolor on canvas, received a purchase award and was sold at the 5th Annual Art Speaks by the Bay Juried Exhibition at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Matthews, VA.
