Madison County High School Art Students visit “A View with a Room”

September 27th, Kelly Lonergan, Woodberry Forest Art Teacher, “It was great having this group of art students from Madison County High School visit the FFAC show today in the Baker Gallery. Thanks to Ashleigh Pugh and all of the FFAC artists who came to talk about their work. A good time!”

Student Reception: A View with a Room

On September 21, 2017, students from Woodberry Forest School attended a reception for “A View with a Room” at the Walker Fine Arts Center: Baker Gallery.

The exhibit is open through October 29. Gallery hours: Mon–Fri, 9 AM-5 PM & Sat–Sun, 1 PM–5 PM.

A View with a Room

What an amazing reception we had at Woodberry Forest School on Friday, September 8th! Thank you to everyone who joined us.

If you missed it, the show is still up in the Walker Fine Arts Center & Baker Gallery on the Woodberry Forest campus, and will remain there until Sunday, October 29.  If you have a chance, please stop by and take a look!  And don’t forget to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

As part of the Artisan Trail program in Rappahannock County, Old Rag Photography and Gallery invite you to their Second Saturday event at Old Rag Gallery at Ginger Hill Antiques this Saturday, September 9, from 12 – 4. The work of two colleagues, Patricia Temples and Alan Dranitzke, will be exhibited over the next several months.

From Tangier Island in the east to Highland County to the west, Virginia has much to offer. I hope you see something among my images that excites you and informs you about my home.”

“A View with a Room” Exhibit and Opening Reception


Please join us on Friday, September 8, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, for the opening reception for “A View with a Room” at Woodberry Forest School. 

Exhibit dates: August 28 – October 29, 2017.
Gallery hours: Mon – Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM & Sat – Sun, 1 PM – 5 PM

Firnew member and photographer John Berry is our featured artist. “A View with a Room” will showcase two of his 8′ x 12′ life size prints of cows. After the exhibit is over, John will install the prints outdoors, on buildings or as freestanding pieces.

A People’s Choice Award will be announced at the end of exhibit. Visitors are encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite piece of artwork. The award honors the late Firnew artists Tucker Hill and Diana Fackenthal.
