My work in watercolor and gouache celebrates companion animals, rural life, nature, and the land. I am attracted to dramatic light, strong color, and close-up perspectives so those qualities are typically reflected in the subjects that I paint. Watercolor never fails to delight me with its capacity for magical “happy accidents”, luminosity, and vivid color.
