I am an artist working predominantly in oils, preferably from real life, primarily using classical techniques. What does that convoluted sentence means? It means that I’m a “classical realist” that likes to have little less of “categorized” idea of myself…..even if that’s only in my own mind. My goal as an artist is to continuously expand and cultivate my technical skills and craftsmanship so that I am able to pay tribute to the beauty I am surrounded by every day. My paintings are an expression of gratitude. My hope is that my art speaks for itself.
” The goal of life is rapture. Art is the way we experience it. Art is the transforming experience.” Joseph Campbell.
